Ok, what the heck is an m3, how is it calculated, and how do I MANUALLY calculate how much cargospace volume it means?
Any auto calculators are fine and appreciated but, I want to know WHAT it is, WHAT it means, and how to do the figures IN MY OWN head.
Thank you very much; I know this is epic newbie flame bait... even though I have been playing since 2010; I have just never really thought about it until now. |

THANK YYYOOOUUU!!!
Thank you very much. I figured it was a simple calculation but, wasn't sure what the heck m3 meant.
Thanks. |

Batelle wrote:an m3 is a cubic meter, which is a unit of measure of volume. It is the basic measure of volume in this game. Every item you can put in your ship has a volume measured in m3. If the free space in your ship, measured in m3, is larger than a given item, then you can place that item in your ship. There's not much to calculate.
Yes, the too big to fit thing is a given but, if one must calculate multiple items then it gets more complex.
However, what I was asking for was less, how to calculate volume to volume...
... and more of how to convert m3 of volume to Mass and back. I remember back before the Incursion update, there were several items on market that did not have an m3 in their descriptions. Conversion of mass to m3 to calculate if it'll fit in a cargohold was needed.
I suppose (and hope) that was remedied on the last few updates. |

But I suppose this was idiotic and null question now anyway.
Thank you for setting my head straight.
I mainly was asking what the heck and m3 was. |

Yes, thank you. I was just simply confused.
Sometimes my ADHD hits hard, and I go a tad dyslexic. |
